Dr. Emily Ditch grew up in Sartell, MN and graduated from Sartell High School in 2011. Following high school, Dr. Emily attended St. Cloud State University where she was a diver on the swimming and diving team for all four years of her undergraduate studies. Dr. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Chemistry, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2015.
Dr. Emily furthered her education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where she received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree with High Distinction in the top 5% of her class in 2019. Dr. Emily was involved in many other clubs, organizations, and activities during her time at the School of Dentistry. These include serving as President of the Sports Dentistry Club involved in fabricating mouth guards for Gopher athletes as well as local sports teams, the Hispanic Dental Association, the American Academy of Developmental Medicine and Dentistry, and the Christian Medical and Dental Association, among others.
Dr. Emily received many awards during school, including the Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU) National Dental Honor Society Membership Award, the Quintessence Award for Clinical Achievement in Restorative Dentistry, the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, the Lois J. Karl Scholarship for Didactic Achievement in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology Award, and the Outstanding Achievement in Anatomy Award.
Dr. Emily received her certification with Invisalign in 2018 to further her education and clinical skills. Additionally, she participated in multiple volunteering opportunities including Give Kids A Smile and a Service of Gratitude Organizer and Volunteer with the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program. Other leadership roles that she held included Membership/Rush Chair of Psi Omega Dental Fraternity, Student Admissions Ambassador for the school of dentistry, as well as a dental student tutor.
Dr. Emily is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), Minnesota Dental Association (MDA), Academy of General Dentistry (AGD), American Academy of Implant Dentistry (AAID) and Psi Omega National Dental Fraternity.
